Job Profile – Regional Sales Manager

Location:  Regions

Reporting to: UK Sales Director


Job Summary:

Responsible for directing, leading and supporting a team of Regional Account Managers and Internal Sales Representatives to achieve high levels of sales performance. Working with the Branch Managers to deliver the targeted levels of performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the UK Sales Director with the overall strategy for the Regional Account team.
  • Oversees that the salesforce is working safely and that the safety culture of Mobile Mini is present and strong within the salesforce.
  • Sets and achieves sales goals based on revenue, growth, new business and profit targets.
  • Effectively recruit, induct, coach and develop sales employees and provide guidance and direction on problems and issues.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with key customers. 
  • Ensure effective communication between Sales Executives, Sales Managers and branches.
  • Work alongside the Branch Managers to develop Business plans for each location
  • Regularly spend time in the field on accompanied client visits with Regional Account Managers.
  • Track the local markets and identify opportunities for growth
  • Manages daily activities, communications and interactions in a cooperative, positive and professional manner both with internal and external customers.
  • Prompt query resolution for both internal and external customers.
  • Arrange and lead regular sales meetings.
  • Hold regular performance reviews/discussions with the Regional team to provide feedback on their performance.
  • Promptly identifies and properly manages underperforming employees, showing an appropriate sense of urgency.
  • Delegates and empowers their team by setting clear objectives to achieve desired results.
  • Motivate the team, praise and positively reinforce the right behaviours and good performance.
  • Regularly and effectively presents and shares information with the team to ensure that they understand the Company’s values, goals and results.
  • Resolve any queries for the Region’s customers.
  • Leads by example and creates a culture which reflects our Company values.



Competencies and Qualifications

  • Passionate about consistently exceeding the expectations of the customer and lives our Customer Charter.
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional sales results and profitable revenue growth.
  • Business specific knowledge of what Mobile Mini hire/sell. Excellent knowledge of products and services.
  • Experience of creating and managing high performing sales teams where high standards and performance expectations are set, measured against and achieved.
  • Strong analytical skills and high degree of business acumen.
  • Confident presenter who is able to clearly communicate the strategic goals.
  • Experience of the construction and/or rental industries would be beneficial but not essential.
  • A degree would be desirable
  • Strong IT skills and be familiar with SalesForce or similar CRM tools.
  • Flexible and must be prepared to travel extensively within the UK.
  • Full clean driving licence.
