Accounts Payable Manager

Mobile Mini is looking for a new Accounts Payable Manager to oversee a team at the Service Center in Phoenix, AZ.

This person will be responsible for all aspects of the Accounts Payable department, travel and purchasing programs. He or she will oversee the daily operations of the department, mentor and develop the team, and set high standards for quality work.

What You’ll Do as the Accounts Payable Manager:

  • Ensure accurate and timely payments to all vendors
  • Develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures related to all Accounts Payable functions
  • Maintain effective vendor relationships, perform new vendor set up and vendor edit functions
  • Maintain and grow electronic payment programs EPAY and ACH
  • Provide support to Company branch personnel with respect to vendor invoices and payments
  • Maintain current policies to ensure relevant internal controls over financial reporting are SOX compliant
  • Administer credit card and travel card programs
  • Generate 1099’s in a timely and accurate manner
  • Perform month-end Accounts Payable closing duties and complete monthly reconciliations; Create journal entries as necessary. Review all journal entries created by Accounts Payable staff members
  • Maintain current training materials and ensure all duties are cross-trained within the Accounts Payable department
  • Interview, coach and hire new employees and facilitate their training; Complete employee reviews
  • Evaluate proprietary accounting software for enhancement opportunities. Authorize change requests and lead testing and implementation of enhancements
  • Assist and support the procurement function including data mining, invoice consolidation and vendor onboarding

What You’ll Need to be a Successful Accounts Payable Manager:

  • 3+ years of accounts payable experience AND high school diploma
  • 1+ year of supervisory experience
  • Strong planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
  • Excellent written, oral, interpersonal and organizational skills--must be an effective communicator and possess strong customer service skills
  • Strong Accounts Payable ERP systems experience; SAP preferred with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
