Assistant Transport Administrator

Job Profile –Transport Assistant Administrator

Reporting to: Transport Manager

 

Overall Job Summary: To assist in a busy Transport office with administration duties.

 

Key Tasks

  • Liaising with customers in regards to the delivery and collection of units
  • Acquiring vehicle registrations and transportation permits when required
  • Accurate, timely processing of activations and returns paperwork
  • Assist Dispatcher with any administration duties when required
  • Knowledge of all the company computer systems
  • Take personal ownership for the safety of themselves and those around them

 

Competencies and qualifications

  • Previous Experience in a transport role is essential
  • Takes the initiative and seeks out additional work wherever possible
  • Excellent ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent organisational and administration skills
  • Takes ownership of customer issues and takes immediate action to provide quality service and to promptly deal with any issues
  • Continually looks for opportunities to improve processes and procedures to benefit our customers and the company
  • High level of commitment and flexibility required
  • Is willing to help out other employees
  • Able to work in a team and encourage a supportive family atmosphere
  • Be passionate about providing exceptional customer service
  • Always maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Be honest and open with both customers and colleagues at all times
  • Be a supportive member of the branch
