Division Safety Manager

Job Summary:

The primary focus of this position is to provide field based Managers in ensuring all DOT, Safety and OSHA regulation are being adhered to across the Division. This role will also help design and develop safety programs to minimize the safety risk for Mobile Mini.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Working with Regional Managers design and develop safety plans/policies and procedures. Assist the branches in implementing the new policies, procedures and education opportunities and deadlines (MMU)
  • Conduct DOT, OSHA and policy inspections at branch locations
  • Conduct investigations of incidents, near-misses and injures and perform root-cause analysis to determine ways to enhance processes and procedures to minimize safety risks. This will also include creating and reporting on all audit and inspection reports
  • Counsel, educate and train individual drivers on DOT violations and ways to ensure safety is the number one priority
  • Instruct safety training classes and lead safety meetings at locations when travelling
  • Other duties as assigned
Equipment Used and Responsibility:
  • Computer, telephone and electronic office equipment
  • MS Office Suite and other database tools
Education and Experience:
  • 4 year college degree strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated safety leadership in previous positions held
  • 5 years of experience in the safety field with at least 3 years in a management role strongly preferred
  • OSHA certification
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations
  • Experience in multi-state operations a plus
  • Travel up to 75% of the time
